What Involves is

Involves is a daily publication. Each morning it takes one theme and examines it through three lenses: one word, defined and traced to its origin; one idea, explained in plain language and taken back to its source; and one moment, a real scene from history placed in context. The three are chosen together, so each earns its place by illuminating the same question from a different angle.

The name is the thesis. Nothing worth knowing stands alone: a word involves an idea, an idea involves a moment, and understanding any of them means seeing what it is connected to.

Every material claim cites a source, and the sources appear with each edition. A new connection appears every morning at 6am Pacific, on the site and by email.
